Teaching Indian Culture and Heritage

Aim:   As part of this program, Hindu Educational Society of Arizona will work towards teaching and maintaining Indian Culture and Heritage.   Any Donations we raise for this program will be used exclusively for teaching of Indian Culture and Heritage. 

Details of the Program:   

This program will help many kids and adults to understand the Indian culture and learn the traditions.  This program is a secular program and anyone can participate in any of the programs or Stage Performances – regardless of their religion or faith or religious belief.

•    Dance – Bharathanatiyam

•    Dance – Kuchupidi

•    Songs – Various Indian Based Karnatic songs

•    Musical Instrument – Violin 

•    Musical Instrument – Tabla 

•    Musical Instrument – Mridangam 

•    Languages Taught – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Sanskrit

•    Stage Performances – Provide a platform for the Kids to showcase their talents. 

•    Stage Performances (Outside) – Bring people who are specialists in the various fields from outside and ask them to perform on-stage.   This will help the kids and adults to get to see from the experts.

Food for Needy

Aim:   As part of this program, Hindu Educational Society of Arizona will work towards providing food for those in need.   We also donate food to some of the nearby food donation centers.  Any Donations we raise for this program will be used exclusively for providing food for those in need. 

Details of the Program:   

On a daily basis we provide food at the Temple for everyone.  This program is a secular program and all are welcome.  Food will be provided regardless of their religion or faith or religious belief.

We collect nonperishable food items at our Temple and we will donate all the food collected to nearby Food Donation centers.  

On a monthly basis, we donate to nearby food donation centers rice, grains, wheat, etc., 

We have performed food donation during floods in India.

All donations we collect will be utilized for buying food items, plates, spoons, napkins, etc,. and preparing food and distributing for those in need. All these programs are open for everyone regardless of their religious beliefs.
